The classes offered by Felipe are top notch. He is very knowledgeable about his instrument and is able to effectively communicate to a learner. His enthusiasm is infectious and will make you want to practice and play well. He offers many free courses to complement the paid tier. Highly recommend this course to beginners and anyone interested in learning to play the cajon.
Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Felipe explains everything in a way that's very understanding and easy to follow. I'm getting there slowly but surely with my progress even if I haven't been practicing as much as I should have been over the festive period. But I'll soon be a great player too and its all thanks to Felipe and his teaching.
Very nice set of cajon courses. Incremental levels, with lots of material on the side, and a very attentive teacher. I highly recommend it for beginners and intermediates!! I haven't tried yet the advanced course, but planning to get there soon
This course is really very, very good. Felipe covers every facet of learning to play the cajon. He is, obviously, a brilliant cajon player...but, more than this, he is an excellent teacher. Each part and level of the courses are easy to follow and are helping me buckle down to learning how to play the cajon properly. Not only this, but if you ask him questions, he actually takes the time to reply to you. This is not always the case with other online teachers of music that I have followed. It really is a good course. Full marks to him.
Brilliant cajon lessons which have helped me improve my playing greatly. Felipe always has a smile and lots of enthusiasm to motivate his students. There are lots of different grooves to learn and the backing tracks are perfect to get used to playing with music. I like the lifetime access which means we can learn at our own pace. The site has a community forum where members van connect and ask questions. It also records progress through each section so it’s easy to pick up from where you were. The videos cover all aspects of the cajon including cajon covers, technique exercises, reviews of different makes of cajon, accessories and care of cajon such as tuning. As a new cajon player I found the CajonMaster courses immediately useful. They helped me focus on foundational skills like good posture and clean drum sounds. The lessons really paid off this past weekend, when I was able to play cajon with my friends for sheer joy!
The course material is straight forward and very accessible. Felipe is cheery and upbeat, and just a great teacher - he's a professional musician, and teaching the cajon is clearly a passion project for him. He is also very responsive and helpful on the member forums if you're feeling stuck. Great course overall, not much else to say!
